President Obama has been a open supporter of service and his early legislative achievement in the Serve America Act is a testimony to that commitment. At the 2009 MLB All-Star game, he and all the living presidents honored the service ethic that is the bedrock of our society and called all Americans to meaningful service.  Watch the video below to learn more.

The following video is his call to service in the "United We Serve" campaign for the Summer of 2009 until September 11, 2009.  We urge you all to find places to organize, serve, and learn now and into the future.

California is the first state in America to create a cabinet level position for service.  The following video was taken at the ceremony to announce this positive change for California and expresses California's deep desire to tap the generous human resources of its citizens.

On the national level, presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama recently discussed the value of service and some of their plans to promote service for all Americans.
