The California Department of Education’s CalServe Initiative, in
collaboration with Youth Service California, has identified Regional
Service-Learning Leads in the county superintendent regions across the
state. The Regional Service-Learning Leads provide leadership and
collaborate with others to build capacity for service-learning and
youth service in their regions. Leads convene regional events; engage
K-12 schools, districts, community partners and individual
practitioners in planning and coordination efforts; and represent their
regions at the state level. Leads also promote and support
cross-service connections between K-Higher Education practitioners and
other national and community service activities in each region.
Organizations and individuals are encouraged to contact Regional Service-Learning Leads to learn more about what is happening in the
region and get involved in regional activities. Their names and contact information are below.
